with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-80. Cross-site scripting vulnerabilities in GeekLog 1.3.5 and earlier allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary script via (1) the url variable in the Link field of a calendar event, (2) the topic parameter in index.php, or (3) the title parameter in comment.php.
The weakness was presented 10/04/2002 by Ahmet Sabri Alper (Website). The advisory is available at archives.neohapsis.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2002-0962. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.

It is assigned to the family CGI abuses and running in the context r. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 10717 (Geeklog Multiple Cross Site Scripting Vulnerabilities).
