Heap-based buffer overflow in Novell Open Enterprise Server Remote Manager (novell-nrm) in Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via an HTTP POST request with a negative Content-Length parameter.
The bug was discovered 11/15/2005. The weakness was disclosed 01/16/2006 by iDefense with iDEFENSE (Website). The advisory is available at lists.suse.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2005-3655 since 11/18/2005. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
