This affects some unknown processing of the file parse_xml.cgi of the component Administration Server. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in parse_xml.cgi in Apple Darwin Streaming Administration Server 4.1.2 and QuickTime Streaming Server 4.1.1 allows remote attackers to insert arbitrary script via the filename parameter, which is inserted into an error message.

The weakness was disclosed 03/07/2003 by Ollie Whitehouse with @stake as not defined posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2003-0053. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit.
