Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in search.php in Phorum, possibly 5.0.7 beta and earlier, allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary HTML or web script via the subject parameter.

The weakness was presented 12/31/2004 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2004-2242 since 07/17/2005. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim.
