Serena TeamTrack 6.1.1 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information such as user names, versions, and database information, and conduct cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks, via a direct request to tmtrack.dll with modified LoginPage and Template parameters.

The weakness was presented 07/21/2004 by Noam Rathaus (SecuriTeam) with SecuriTeam.com (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at securiteam.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2004-2563 since 11/22/2005. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1059.007 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
