The download_selection_recursive() function in ftplist.c for IglooFTP 0.6.1 allows remote malicious FTP servers to overwrite arbitrary files via filenames that contain / (slash) characters.

The weakness was presented 01/10/2005 (Website). The advisory is available at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2004-1277 since 12/20/2004. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
