** DISPUTED ** SQL injection vulnerability in index.php for Quick.cart 0.3.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the iCategory parameter. NOTE: the vendor has privately disputed this issue, saying that Quick.cart does not even use SQL and therefore can not be vulnerable to SQL injection.
The bug was discovered 04/28/2005. The weakness was presented 05/11/2005 by Lostmon Lords (Website). The advisory is shared at osvdb.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2005-1588 since 05/14/2005. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
