A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Uniview ISC 2500-S up to 20210930. Affected by this issue is the function setNatConfig
of the file /Interface/DevManage/VM.php. The manipulation of the argument natAddress/natPort/natServerPort
with an unknown input leads to a os command injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-78. The product constructs all or part of an OS command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended OS command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The weakness was released 01/22/2024. The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2024-0778. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1202.
The exploit is available at github.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. Vendor was contacted early and confirmed immediately that the product is end-of-life. It should be retired and replaced.
