The bug was discovered 06/30/2005. The weakness was released 07/05/2005 (Website). The advisory is shared at badroot.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2005-2111 since 07/01/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known.
