WorldClient webmail in Alt-N MDaemon 8.1.3 allows remote attackers to prevent arbitrary users from accessing their inboxes via script tags in the Subject header of an e-mail message, which prevents the user from being able to access the Inbox folder, possibly due to a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability.
The weakness was disclosed 12/13/2005 by Dr_insane (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2005-4209 since 12/13/2005. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim.
