PHP remote file inclusion vulnerability in functions.php in Circle R Monster Top List (MTL) 1.4 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a URL in the root_path parameter. NOTE: It was later reported that 1.4.2 and earlier are affected.
The bug was discovered 04/12/2006. The weakness was disclosed 04/12/2006 by r0t (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at pridels.blogspot.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2006-1781 since 04/13/2006. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
