with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. SQL injection vulnerability in Invision Gallery 2.0.7 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the album parameter in (1) index.php and (2) forum/index.php, when the rate command in the gallery automodule is used.
The weakness was disclosed 10/10/2006 (Website). The advisory is available at milw0rm.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-5206 since 10/09/2006. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. This vulnerability is assigned to T1505 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
A public exploit has been developed in ANSI C. It is possible to download the exploit at securityfocus.com. It is declared as highly functional. By approaching the search of inurl:index.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
