MySQLDumper 1.21b through 1.23 REV227 uses a "Limit GET" statement in the .htaccess authentication mechanism, which allows remote attackers to bypass authentication requirements via HTTP POST requests.
The weakness was released 07/03/2007 by Henning Pingel (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2007-3567 since 07/05/2007. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1068 for this issue.
