IOS 12.2(52)SE and 12.2(52)SE1 on Cisco Industrial Ethernet (IE) 3000 series switches has (1) a community name of public for RO access and (2) a community name of private for RW access, which makes it easier for remote attackers to modify the configuration or obtain potentially sensitive information via SNMP requests, aka Bug ID CSCtf25589.

The weakness was shared 07/08/2010 with Cisco (Website). The advisory is available at cisco.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2010-1574 since 04/27/2010. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1068 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
