A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in web-cp 0.5.7. Affected is some unknown functionality of the file sendfile.php of the component Sendfile. The manipulation of the argument filelocation
with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality. CVE summarizes:
Absolute path traversal vulnerability in sendfile.php in web-cp 0.5.7, when register_globals is enabled, allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a full pathname in the filelocation parameter.
