The weakness was shared 07/25/2012 by Julien Chaffraix (Slawomir Blazek) with Apple Product Security as HT5400 as confirmed knowledge base article (Apple Security Announce). The advisory is available at support.apple.com. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2012-3611 since 06/19/2012. The exploitability is told to be difficult. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
