Webmin 1.590 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary Perl code via a crafted file associated with the type (aka monitor type name) parameter.
The weakness was presented 09/06/2012 by jcameron with American Information Security Group as ed7365064c189b8f136a9f952062249167d1bd9e as confirmed patch (GitHub). The advisory is available at github.com. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability was named CVE-2012-2981 since 05/30/2012.
