GroundWork Monitor Enterprise 6.7.0 performs authentication on the basis of the HTTP Referer header, which allows remote attackers to obtain administrative privileges or access files via a crafted header.

The weakness was shared 05/08/2013 by Johannes Greil with SEC Consult Vulnerability Lab as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is available at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-3499 since 05/08/2013. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
