KDE Konqueror 2.1.1 and 2.2.2 allows remote attackers to spoof a legitimate URL in the status bar via A HREF tags with modified "alt" values that point to the legitimate site, combined with an image map whose href points to the malicious site, which facilitates a "phishing" attack.

The weakness was published 05/18/2004 by Drew Copley (http-equiv) (Website). The advisory is shared at securiteam.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2004-0527 since 06/03/2004. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
