The weakness was presented 01/15/2013 by Esteban Martinez Fayo with Application Security Inc. as cpujan2013-1515902 as not defined advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at oracle.com. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2013-0354 since 12/07/2012. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 63623 (Oracle Database Multiple Vulnerabilities (January 2013 CPU)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.
