A vulnerability has been found in pfSense up to 2.2.2 (Firewall Software) and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the file services_ntpd.php. The manipulation of the argument server[]

Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in pfSense before 2.2.3 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the server[] parameter to services_ntpd.php.
The weakness was shared 08/18/2015 (Website). The advisory is available at pfsense.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2015-6511 since 08/18/2015. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. By approaching the search of inurl:services_ntpd.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 34058 (pfSense 2.2.3 Not Installed).
Upgrading to version 2.2.3 eliminates this vulnerability.
