A vulnerability was found in Oracle Java up to 7 Update 15 (Programming Language Software). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2013-0809 since 01/05/2013. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. A public exploit has been developed in Ruby. It is possible to download the exploit at securityfocus.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. We expect the 0-day to have been worth approximately $25k-$100k. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 68778 (Oracle Linux 6 : java-1.6.0-openjdk (ELSA-2013-0605)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.
