The weakness was released 02/23/2013 by Mateusz Jurczyk and Gynvael Coldwind as 1.1.3 as not defined changelog entry (Website). The advisory is shared for download at ffmpeg.org. The public release was coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability was named CVE-2013-0872 since 01/07/2013. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely.
