A vulnerability was found in Wireshark up to 1.12.8/2.0.0 (Packet Analyzer Software). It has been declared as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is the function dissect_rsvp_common

The dissect_rsvp_common function in epan/dissectors/packet-rsvp.c in the RSVP dissector in Wireshark 1.12.x before 1.12.9 and 2.0.x before 2.0.1 does not properly maintain request-key data, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (use-after-free and application crash) via a crafted packet.
The weakness was released 01/04/2016 with Google (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at code.wireshark.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2015-8727 since 01/03/2016. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction.
