Heap-based buffer overflow in the unhtmlify function in foomatic-rip in foomatic-filters before 4.0.6 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption and crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a long job title.
The weakness was disclosed 04/15/2016 (Website). The advisory is available at bzr.linuxfoundation.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2010-5325 since 02/15/2016. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
