The ff_h263_decode_mba function in libavcodec/ituh263dec.c in Libav before 11.5 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (divide-by-zero error and application crash) via a file with crafted dimensions.
The weakness was released 04/19/2016 by Agostino Sarubbo with Gentoo (Website). The advisory is shared at lists.opensuse.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2015-5479 since 07/10/2015. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction.
