CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

A vulnerability was found in Node.js up to 0.10.46/0.12.15/4.5.x/6.6.x (JavaScript Library). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects the function ServerResponse#writeHead. The manipulation of the argument reason with an unknown input leads to a response splitting vulnerability (Split). The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-113. The product receives data from an HTTP agent/component (e.g., web server, proxy, browser, etc.), but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes CR and LF characters before the data is included in outgoing HTTP headers. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:

CRLF injection vulnerability in the ServerResponse#writeHead function in Node.js 0.10.x before 0.10.47, 0.12.x before 0.12.16, 4.x before 4.6.0, and 6.x before 6.7.0 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary HTTP headers and conduct HTTP response splitting attacks via the reason argument.

The weakness was presented 10/10/2016 by Romain Gaucher (Website). The advisory is available at lists.opensuse.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-5325 since 06/07/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 94002 (openSUSE Security Update : nodejs (openSUSE-2016-1172)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family SuSE Local Security Checks and running in the context l. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 169266 (OpenSuSE Security Update for nodejs (openSUSE-SU-2016:2496-1)).

Upgrading to version 0.10.47, 0.12.16, 4.6.0 or 6.7.0 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published 1 days after the disclosure of the vulnerability.

The vulnerability is also documented in the vulnerability database at Tenable (94002). See VDB-92519 for similar entry.
