The weakness was presented 12/06/2016 by John Page (hyp3rlinx) as Microsoft PowerShell XML External Entity as not defined mailinglist post (Full-Disclosure). The advisory is shared for download at seclists.org. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack needs to be approached locally. The successful exploitation requires a simple authentication. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
A public exploit has been developed by John Page (hyp3rlinx) in XML and been published immediately after the advisory. The exploit is available at seclists.org. It is declared as proof-of-concept.
