This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2016-9832 since 12/05/2016. The attack may be launched remotely. Required for exploitation is a simple authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. The structure of the vulnerability defines a possible price range of USD $5k-$25k at the moment (estimation calculated on 10/05/2022). This vulnerability is assigned to T1055 by the MITRE ATT&CK project. The advisory points out:
The attacks may be executed from the local network via SAPGui, or from the public Internet via http/https ICF services such as WebGui and Report, if the systems are accessible. An attacker can misuse PwC ACE security vulnerability in order to: - make changes to the production systems and their settings including manipulating or corrupting ABAP programs shipped by SAP and making the system and data inoperable; - plant an SAP backdoor for accessing the system and sensitive data later; and - shut down the SAP systems and cause downtime.

The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 110 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $5k-$25k.
