| Description | Version: Twister Antivirus 8, filppd.sys 1.0.0.2550 http://www.filseclab.com/en-us/downloads.htm Impact: Elevation of Privilege Description: From IoControlCode 0x804f2143, 0x804f217f, 0x804f214b, and 0x80800043, a normal user can write into arbitrary address due to the lack of validating UserBuffer. Reproduce: In the attached file EoP.zip, there are EoP.exe, EoP.cpp, twister8_setup.exe, and filppd.sys. EoP.exe is the PoC to cause BSOD where twister8_setup.exe which contains the vulnerable driver filppd.sys is installed, and EoP.cpp is the source code of EoP.exe. To reproduce the issue, install twister8_setup.exe and execute EoP.exe. The system is expected to crash (BSOD) once EoP.exe is executed.
