Software License

VulDB contains vulnerabilities affecting different products. The product catalogue does show the applied software license model whereas we distinguish between three different types:

• Commercial: Products that need to be purchased to be used. They are not available for free and almost neveer come with their source-code.
• Free: Products that are free to use. They are not distributed with their source-code available.
• Open-source: Free products that are always distributed with their source-code which allow extended analysis or custom modifications.
