A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Apple tvOS up to 10.2.0 (Digital Media Player). Affected is an unknown functionality of the component Kernel. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a race condition vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-362. The product contains a code sequence that can run concurrently with other code, and the code sequence requires temporary, exclusive access to a shared resource, but a timing window exists in which the shared resource can be modified by another code sequence that is operating concurrently. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
The bug was discovered 05/10/2017. The weakness was presented 05/15/2017 by Ian Beer (OSS-Fuzz) with Google Project Zero as HT207801 as confirmed advisory (Website).
