A vulnerability was found in ImageMagick 7.0.5-6 Q16 (Image Processing Software). It has been declared as problematic. In ImageMagick 7.0.5-6 Q16, the ReadMNGImage function in coders/png.c allows attackers to cause a denial of service (memory leak) via a crafted file.
The bug was discovered 05/28/2017. The weakness was presented 05/29/2017 (GitHub Repository). The advisory is shared at github.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2017-9261 since 05/28/2017.
