In ImageMagick 7.0.5-5, the ReadICONImage function in icon.c:452 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (memory leak) via a crafted file.

The bug was discovered 04/28/2017. The weakness was released 06/02/2017 (GitHub Repository). The advisory is shared at github.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2017-9405.
