A vulnerability was found in ImageMagick 7.0.5-6 Q16 (Image Processing Software). It has been rated as problematic. Affected by this issue is the function ReadJNGImage of the file coders/png.c. In ImageMagick 7.0.5-6 Q16, the ReadJNGImage function in coders/png.c allows attackers to cause a denial of service (memory leak) via a crafted file.
The bug was discovered 05/28/2017. The weakness was shared 05/29/2017 by Venustech with Adlab of Venustech (GitHub Repository). The advisory is available at github.com.
