A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in PHP up to 5.6.30 (Programming Language Software). In PHP before 5.6.31, an invalid free in the WDDX deserialization of boolean parameters could be used by attackers able to inject XML for deserialization to crash the PHP interpreter, related to an invalid free for an empty boolean element in ext/wddx/wddx.c.
The bug was discovered 07/06/2017. The weakness was published 07/10/2017 (oss-sec). It is possible to read the advisory at openwall.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2017-11143 since 07/10/2017. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
