A vulnerability was found in ImageMagick 7.0.6-1 (Image Processing Software) and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is the function WriteHISTOGRAMImage of the file coders/histogram.c. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-119. When ImageMagick 7.0.6-1 processes a crafted file in convert, it can lead to a Memory Leak in the WriteHISTOGRAMImage() function in coders/histogram.c.
The bug was discovered 07/17/2017. The weakness was released 07/23/2017 (GitHub Repository). The advisory is shared for download at github.com.
