A vulnerability has been found in ImageMagick 7.0.6-1 (Image Processing Software) and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects the function ReadOnePNGImage of the file coders/png.c. When ImageMagick 7.0.6-1 processes a crafted file in convert, it can lead to a Memory Leak in the ReadOnePNGImage() function in coders/png.c.
The bug was discovered 07/18/2017. The weakness was shared 07/23/2017 (GitHub Repository). The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-11539 since 07/22/2017. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
