Affected by this issue is the function ip_mc_source of the component IGMP Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a denial of service vulnerability. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2004-1137 since 12/06/2004. The attack needs to be done within the local network. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The exploit is available at isec.pl. It is declared as proof-of-concept.
