A vulnerability has been found in ImageMagick 7.0.6-2 (Image Processing Software) and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects the function ReadMATImage of the file coders/mat.c. In ImageMagick 7.0.6-2, a memory leak vulnerability was found in the function ReadMATImage in coders/mat.c, which allows attackers to cause a denial of service.
The bug was discovered 07/17/2017. The weakness was shared 08/05/2017 by Venustech with Adlab of Venustech (GitHub Repository). The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-12564 since 08/05/2017. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
