In ImageMagick 7.0.6-3, a memory leak vulnerability was found in the function ReadOneMNGImage in coders/png.c, which allows attackers to cause a denial of service.
The bug was discovered 07/25/2017. The weakness was released 08/07/2017 by Venustech with Adlab of Venustech (GitHub Repository). The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2017-12673 since 08/07/2017. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
