A vulnerability was found in ImageMagick up to 6.9.8-4/7.0.5-5 (Image Processing Software) and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is the function ReadMATImage of the file coders/mat.c. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-119. In ImageMagick before 6.9.8-5 and 7.x before 7.0.5-6, there is a memory leak in the ReadMATImage function in coders/mat.c.
The bug was discovered 07/28/2017. The weakness was disclosed 08/23/2017 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at bugs.debian.org.
