A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in tcpdump up to 4.9.1 (Packet Analyzer Software). Affected is the function bittok2str_internal of the file util-print.c of the component Protocol Parser. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Several protocol parsers in tcpdump before 4.9.2 could cause a buffer overflow in util-print.c:bittok2str_internal().
