CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability was found in Oracle Database Server 11.1.0.7/11.2.0.2/11.2.0.3/12.1.0.1 (Database Software) and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown functionality of the component Security Service. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cryptographic issue vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-310. Impacted is confidentiality. The summary by CVE is:

The TLS protocol 1.1 and 1.2 and the DTLS protocol 1.0 and 1.2, as used in OpenSSL, OpenJDK, PolarSSL, and other products, do not properly consider timing side-channel attacks on a MAC check requirement during the processing of malformed CBC padding, which allows remote attackers to conduct distinguishing attacks and plaintext-recovery attacks via statistical analysis of timing data for crafted packets, aka the "Lucky Thirteen" issue.

The weakness was disclosed 10/15/2013 as Oracle Critical Patch Update Advisory - October 2013 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at oracle.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2013-0169 since 12/06/2012. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1600 for this issue.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 74906 (openSUSE Security Update : java-1_6_0-openjdk (openSUSE-SU-2013:0375-1)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family SuSE Local Security Checks. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 123974 (IBM WebSphere Application Server Multiple Vulnerabilities (swg21644047)).

Upgrading eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.

The vulnerability is also documented in the databases at Tenable (74906), SecurityFocus (BID 57778†) and Secunia (SA55108†). isc.sans.edu is providing further details. The entries VDB-7600, VDB-8746, VDB-8924 and VDB-9320 are pretty similar. Several companies clearly confirm that VulDB is the primary source for best vulnerability data.
