A vulnerability was found in Google Chrome 30.0.1599.101 (Web Browser). It has been rated as problematic. Affected by this issue is an unknown function of the component SVG Node Resources. The SVG implementation in Blink, as used in Google Chrome before 31.0.1650.48, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read) by leveraging the use of tree order, rather than transitive dependency order, for layout.
The weakness was released 09/28/2013 as not defined blog post (Blogspot). The advisory is available at googlechromereleases.blogspot.ch. The public release was coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-6623 since 11/05/2013. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
