Heap buffer overflow in Skia in Google Chrome prior to 62.0.3202.62 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page.
The bug was discovered 10/17/2017. The weakness was disclosed 02/07/2018 by Kushal Arvind Shah (xisigr) with Fortinet's FortiGuard Labs (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2017-5125 since 01/02/2017. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
