A vulnerability classified as critical was found in FFmpeg 2.0.1 (Multimedia Processing Software). Affected by this vulnerability is the function get_cox of the file libavcodec/jpeg2000dec.c. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. The weakness was shared 10/15/2013 by Piotr Bandurski (ami_stuff) as avcodec/jpeg2000dec: fix context consistency with too large lowres as confirmed git commit (GIT Repository).
