A vulnerability has been found in FreeXL up to 1.0.4 and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects the function read_mini_biff_next_record. An issue was discovered in FreeXL before 1.0.5. There is a heap-based buffer over-read in the function read_mini_biff_next_record.
The bug was discovered 02/22/2018. The weakness was disclosed 02/23/2018 (Website). The advisory is available at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2018-7439 since 02/23/2018.
