A vulnerability has been found in QOS.ch SLF4J up to 1.8.0-beta1 and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code block of the component slf4j-ext. org.slf4j.ext.EventData in the slf4j-ext module in QOS.CH SLF4J before 1.8.0-beta2 allows remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions via crafted data.
The bug was discovered 03/14/2018. The weakness was released 03/20/2018 (Website). The advisory is available at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2018-8088 since 03/13/2018. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
