Dell EMC Isilon OneFS versions between 8.1.0.0 - 8.1.0.1, 8.0.1.0 - 8.0.1.2, and 8.0.0.0 - 8.0.0.6, versions 7.2.1.x, and version 7.1.1.11 and 8.1.0.2 is affected by a cross-site request forgery vulnerability. A malicious user may potentially exploit this vulnerability to send unauthorized requests to the server on behalf of authenticated users of the application.
The bug was discovered 02/14/2018. The weakness was released 03/26/2018 by Core Security with Core Security Consulting Services as confirmed mailinglist post (Full-Disclosure). The advisory is shared for download at seclists.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2018-1213 since 12/06/2017. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
